Chatsworth House

There’s plenty to fill a full day of discovery at Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The house has glorious interiors and is steeped in history having passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family.

National Tramway Museum

Close to Matlock in Derbyshire lies a mecca for tramway enthusiasts and historical day-trippers. Crich Tramway Village is a step back in time featuring 60 trams dating from 1873 to 1982 set within a recreated period village scene. Complete with a working pub, café and tram depot, it’s a day out for the whole family, and dog-friendly too!
